The process of consuming excess sugar leads to glycation. It is a process in which a molecule of sugar attaches itself with a molecule of protein and sticks with it. The new molecule which is combination of two is termed AGE (advanced glycation end-product). The AGE has the capacity of damaging collagen present in ligaments, cartilage and skin. It also triggers the loss of elasticity and turgor. Skin starts to sag and wrinkle formation also starts.

It is really important that to reduce the intake of sugar.  A person can simply take the start by reducing the amount of sugar in the cup of tea or coffee. Each week one can find a way to lower down the intake of sugar. This will certainly reduce the risk of glycation.
